2010 - Short Day Hire in Devon & Cornwall

Weekdays £50.00 per hire

Saturday or Sunday £75.00 per hire

Hire period 8am to 6pm

2010 Tariffs: Week and Short Break Hire

• Weekly hire period is from 14:00 on Saturday to 10:00 the following Saturday.
  
• Short Breaks are either;
•  Weekend hire period from 14:00 Friday to 10:00 on Monday or
  
• Midweek Breaks are from 14:00 on Monday to 10:00.
  
• During the peak season (June to September) we may only take advance bookings for holiday weeks. however we may have last minute availability so please contact us.
  
• A discount will be available for bookings of 2 weeks or longer, please ask for details

All Prices include insurance for one named driver, a full tank of fuel and the equipment as detailed on this site.

Summary Terms and Conditions

To Drive our vehicles you need

·         To be 25 to 70 years old

·         To have a full valid drivers licence held for a minimum of 2 years

·         To have two forms of identity including proof of permanent address

·         To be fit and capable to drive

What’s Included

·         Unlimited milage

·         Tank of fuel (you need to return the van with a full tank)

·         Standard equipment (see van specification)

·         UK breakdown cover provide by the RAC

·         Standard vehicle insurance (see Insurance terms below)

·         Collection from Oxenholme Lake District or Grange over Sands train stations if required.

Standard Insurance

The standard excess on all hires is £750 and you will be liable for this in the event of any damage.

Tyres and Windscreen are not included in the above insurance. Therefore, you are responsible for the full cost of tyre and windscreen repair / replacement. Fire damage which is caused by negligence or malice is also excluded from the above insurance cover.

Additional insurance costs will apply in the following cases:

• you need an additional driver (one driver as standard)
  
• the driver(s) have motoring convictions or endorsements on their drivers licence (although certain minor convictions are allowable)
  
• the driver(s) have a history of motoring accidents
  
• you hold a non-UK drivers licence
  

We will keep these charges to a minimum and will only pass on the additional cost incurred on our insurance, please enquire and we will advise.

Security Deposit

There is a refundable GB£500.00 Security Deposit payable by cash, cheque or credit card. Should the security deposit be paid by credit card, the amount will be debited from your account immediately. This is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed location, on the agreed date and time, in the same condition as it was let out to you, with the interior clean including all cooking appliances and the tank full of fuel.

Payment

Availability is on a request and confirm basis at the time of reservation. A reservation is only binding after it has been confirmed by Putt Putt and a non-returnable deposit has been received. Settlement of the remaining balance will be due six weeks prior to departure. Booking deposits are not transferrable to alternative hire dates.

Payment is by Paypal, credit card (Visa, Amex or Mastercard), debit cards, cash or cheque in Pounds Sterling.

For late bookings (less than six weeks before departure) the full rental price is payable on booking. Vehicles will not be released without full payment being completed. Cheques will not be acceptable for late bookings (less than 2 weeks prior to departure).

Cancellation

More than 6 weeks before rental start date: (Booking Deposit)
Within 6 weeks of rental start date: 100% of total hire charge payable

In the event of cancellation, booking deposits are not transferrable to alternative hire dates.

Please ensure you have your own holiday insurance in place to cover the costs if for any reason you have to cancel your reservation.

Collection & Return

Collection: Please allow 1 hour for the hand-over at the depot - to complete the documentation, to demonstrate your vehicle to you and to transfer your luggage to the camper. Please allow the same on your return. Please note we will not release the vehicle until we are 100% confident that all instructions are understood and you are competent to drive.

Return: The vehicle must be returned on the date, and at or before the time stated on the rental agreement. Vehicles must be returned clean and in the same condition as they leave the depot, otherwise a charge will be made.

Late return: If you will be late returning, the rental company must be advised immediately. Failure to advise may result in prosecution for driving whilst uninsured. An additional charge of £50 per hour will be payable for all late returns.

Restrictions

The following restrictions apply

·         Travel into Europe and Ireland is not permitted

·         One way rentals are by prior arrangement only

·         No smoking (a £300 charge will apply where this is not observed)

·         No pets  ( a £200 cleaning charge will apply if this is not observed)

·         The number of passengers is limited to 4 persons

·         All motoring fines (eg. speeding fines and parking tickets) and charges (eg. tolls) are your responsibility

·         No unauthorised towing (the RAC is the only authorised recovery agent - included in our service)
